- INTERNET EXPLORER AND GOOGLE CHROME NOT RESPONDING WINDOWS 7
I wont try to be too technical here but I If I am correct then why hasn't google picked this up already?, and why would google web search have this flaw? Well the answer might be that maybe libraries aka jquery/jscript version that's being used by google.
INTERNET EXPLORER AND GOOGLE CHROME NOT RESPONDING CODE
Object model is loading (stabbing in the dark here I would need to read their code a bit more and I cant be stuffed doing this unless I am getting paid for it) I am thinking its the order of which the jquery/jscript, ajax are loaded in when the Grab the q string from the url bar intead. got me nutted from a technical point of view unless google has declared the variable marginally late before the dom is completely loaded in because it sometimes works.īecause they are using ajax to run the query from the search input field which runs jquery to place the GET variable #q=whateversearch in the url bar which would make sense why the direct url bar search works because it uses a slightly different code to Into the url bar instead of the search input field. Which is strange because it works flawlessly when having set google as default search engine so when you enter the search query direct So by the looks of things its google itself not the browsers. If the variable is not declared then it doesn't know what q is . The variable from jquery/javasript to the ajax query. In the dom from there it shows up 1 error as noted saying that q is undefined which could only mean that the variable in the server side code is not declared before the point it is trying to GET it from the url bar or before the point it is trying to pass Get variable q in the url bar when entering in the search query and hitting either enter or mouse click grabs the search string from the input field and places it in the url, example the url will read at the end #q=whateversearch. Seems as tho its not the browser but google web itself!, tho I could be wrong, when I debug what is going on by using the f12 Developer tools in IE 11 it will show up error "q is undefined", which as a web developer can only mean one thing and that is the I'm totally puzzled by this - it would seem to be a compatibility issue as others are not affected but thousands are - I would love to know what is causing it and why all three of my computers were suddenly affected two nights ago!!!!! this is an out of date site and not the main site in use which is accessed using functionality is completely restored and the problem goes BUT. To further put the cat amongst the pigeons, if I use an "old" URL for Google. Strangely, a friend who has W7 64-bit and IE11 doesn't have this issue.

The problem currently affects all three of my PCs - running Windows 7 32 and 64bit. It has nothing to do with Norton or Avast, neither of which are on my computer. I wondered if it might be an issue with Java and so uninstalled it - no luck. With two or even three before it ceases to work. Sometimes, if I reboot my computer, I will succeed with one single search before it fails again - other times, I might succeed

If I type a query into the main search window on Google's homepage, it loads the query but then just sits there and nothing happens. Google Search function on the Google homepage works intermittently and sometimes not at all - it seems to affect both Chrome and IE11 which are the two browsers I use.
